The truth is we don’t often think about it. We think of stress as this huge traumatic event. But, for the women who sit in my chair, stress comes out in the hustle and bustle of life.

While I can’t promise you a stress free life, I can help you with your hair.

As we enter that quiet space between Christmas and New Year’s, this is your reminder to slow down just a little.

These days hold deep meaning for me.
The 26th is my son’s birthday, a child who brings so much joy into the world, just like the season he was born into. He stretches the magic a little longer before we gently step toward the new year.

But this time is also an invitation to breathe.

After the rush of the holidays and before the pressure of New Year’s resolutions, there’s a natural pause in the year. A moment of stillness. Reflection. The closing of one chapter before the next begins. The last of the old, but not quite the new.

And it’s no secret stress is one of the biggest contributors to hair loss.
It’s also no secret that stress peaks during the holidays.

So this in-between space matters more than we realize.

It’s our reminder to slow down.
To take deeper breaths.
To catch up on rest.
To reflect on everything we’ve navigated and accomplished this year.

Not only is it good for your nervous system…
It’s good for your hair too. 😉

Your hair doesn’t just fall out for no reason. Hair loss is a symptom of something larger happening inside your body.

In this case, my client started noticing clumps of hair in the shower, in her brush, everywhere. She could not figure out why and it scared her.

In our first visit together, she told me that she had an operation done that involved anesthesia. That was about 3 months ago.

This is a sign that she is experiencing a type of hair loss called T.E. Telogen Effluvium. This type of hair loss normally has a “trigger” event. The good news is it normally corrects itself with time.

Our role is to make sure her body has all the support it needs, both internally and externally.
